I really think potty training would be easier,

if mommy would get me a bigger potty chair!

Getting Dressed

I am so big!

I almost put my pants on all by myself!

Look what I did!

I went pee in my big potty chair!!!

Paparazzi

Sometimes it's hard being a superstar!

The paparazzi follow me everywhere!

They even followed me when I got my first hair-cut.

Now they can see my face much better!

It really does look better!

But sometimes,

I just wish they would leave me alone!

Bath

I love taking baths!

That's why my first (unprompted) word was "bath".

I said it on Sunday.

I ran down the hall yelling,

"I want to take a bath!"

Note from mommy:

She did not say a full sentence.

She said "ba(th)".

(over and over again.)

That's good enough for me!

Vampire baby

Everyone wants to see pictures of my new teeth.

As you can tell from this picture,

they're difficult to see.

You can see my bruised eye though.

I tripped over a toy and hit the windowsill.

So, here's my teeth.

Mama says I look like a little vampire!

10 months old

Today I am 10 months old!

I am still mommy's little girl though.

I've been busy this month!

I learned to read!

Oh, wait. Mama says I LIKE to read.

But, I did start walking all by myself.

And I got 4 new teeth!

But I'm not going to show them to you!

And, next week we're moving!!!!

Our house is ready.

(Mama says it should have sod by now.)

9 months old

Yesterday I was 9 months old!

Mommy says I am growing too fast!

I am getting a very distinct personality.

When I'm not happy, I will let you know!!!

But I'm starting to cuddle,

instead of just squirming all the time.

I'm also very smart and strong!
I will find a way over those boxes!

I know the sign for "more."

I also know the sign for "all done."

(mommy's note: she thinks "more" means Cheerios,

and "all done" looks just like "so big.")

I love my ball.

Sometimes it even goes the direction I throw it in!

I crawl all over the place,

and I have begun to take steps.

Not long now and I will be walking!!!!

Standing firm

I used to stand up by accident.

I would be holding something and not realize I had let go.

But now, I stand up on purpose.

For long periods of time.

I am super big!!!!

The beach

Yesterday I went to the beach for the very first time!

Nana, Grandpa, bubby, sissy and my cousin also came with us (me and mommy).

What is this stuff?

Mommy was afraid I would try to eat the sand.
But I'm a big girl!
I touched it, but didn't eat it!


The water was very cold and very, very rough.
I didn't like it very much.



Mostly I played on the blanket with Nana.
But it was a good day.
(don't worry, mama put lots of sunscreen on me.)

Standing tall

I am so big!

I can pull myself up using just about anything!

The kitchen chairs.

Hi mom!
I'm on the steps!
(but not climbing up them yet.)


Now I can play piano whenever I want!
I've been practicing because
Nana, Grandpa and my cousin are coming to visit.
I want to show them how good I am!

Guess what?

We're building a house!!!!!

Mommy and daddy decided the place we live in now

doesn't have enough room for me to run around.

So, we're building a nice big house.

This is our new house!

When they started, it was just a grassy lot.

This is my room!

Bubby and sissy will have their own rooms too.

This is my giant playroom!
It's so big, mama can't get the whole thing in one picture.

We hope to be fully moved in before my 1st birthday!

boo boo

Now that I can move around on my own,

I can also fall down and get hurt.

I had this bump on my head when mama

got me up from one of my naps.

There's also one hiding under my "bangs."

I probably fell in my crib and hit my head.

But I'm OK, because I'm tough!

I also started crawling this week.

There's no stopping me!

7 months

I am seven months old today.

I am a very big girl!

Except that I'm teething, so I want mommy to hold me a lot.

No more baby push ups for me!

Now I do big girl push ups.

I just figured out how to get into sitting position all by myself!

I'm not crawling yet, but I'm close.

I can roll all over the place.

And I can crawl backwards.

Mama says I'm very talented.

I'm starting to feed myself too!

Well, kind of.

I get really excited about holding the spoon and then forget to open my mouth.

I've started saying mama too.

But daddy says I don't know what I'm saying.

Overall (besides the teething), I'm a very happy girl.

Several unrelated things

More evidence of my big girlness.

I can drink water out of my sippy cup.

Sometimes it stays in my mouth, sometimes it doesn't.

This is the first time I got to sit up at the grocery store.

It was AMAZING!

I got to see everything!

Me, just chillin' with my friend, the frog.

Rollin', rollin', rollin'

I'm getting bigger and bigger everyday.

Now I can sit by myself for a very long time.

(Mommy has to sit me up though).

And I've been working on rolling from my back to my tummy for several weeks.

Mommy is not sure why, since I hate being on my tummy.

But it didn't matter because I couldn't figure out what to do with my arms.

Then, . . .

Yesterday, I did it!!!

I also discovered a new sound.

I love it, but mommy says it is horrible and whiny.

She says she's not going to listen to 18 years of that!

Silly mommy, she thinks I'm going to quit whining when I'm 18!

Five Months

I am five months old today!

I am a happy baby!

I have discovered my thumbs.

Sometimes I put both of them in my mouth at the same time!

I love being silly.

Look, I am Santa Claus!

I don't mind tummy time as much anymore,

because I just roll over.

I am very smart.

I dropped this whisk between my legs several times.

I couldn't reach it with my hands,

so I just moved my little legs until I could reach it!

I am trying new foods.

I'm still not sure if I like avocado or not.

I also drink water from a sippy cup,

almost all by myself.

I am getting big!!!
